Homs Sugar Company was established in 1946 and started its production for white sugar in 1948.
The company has successfully expanded to manufacture Oil, Soap, medical & industrial alcohol as well as ferment.
The company is represented by its administration committee- which is headed by Eng. Yasser Ayoub- who is taking on its shoulder the responsibility of leading, controlling and following-up the work affairs as well as facilitating difficulties which may face the production, marketing or workers.
It includes a number of central administrations like:

Technical and Production Administration : which includes the productive factories as Sugar Factory, Alcohol factory, Ferment Factory, Oil & Soap Factory in addition to mechanical & electrical workshop and the energetic power department.

Each staff occupies his/her position according to his/her scientific qualifications:
- High Scientific Licenses : /87/ persons among them /64/ engineers.
- Diploma Licenses: /137/ persons.
- High School: /144/ workers
- Preparatory School: /701/ workers
All staff are receiving a free medical care, insured transportation, educational & social services adding to that the free supportive meal to each worker according to the his/her work location. The company is working hard to insure the best privileges to its staff.
